The approximately 283-meter-long Buarque de Macedo Bridge is located at the junction of the Capibaribe and Beberibe rivers,Recife. PE. On 1882, work began on the construction; but was completed and opened on October 20, 1890. The superstructure is made of iron, composed of six beams joined by strong braiding and seated on two walls against eleven brick pillars. The lighting project, elaborated in 2015, is divided into 2 parts. The first is the removal of existing lamp posts and replacement with new luminaires. The second part comprises lighting through linear RGB(Red,Green,Blue) projectors installed under the bridge to create a colored reflection on the water according to the holiday, as well as marking through the light huge beams that connect pillars. The work was carried out in 2017 and has become a tourist point of the city near the Marco Zero and where there are catamaran tours.
