Entry Description

Located in the Dominican Republic, the object has an atypical regime of sunlight in comparison with our latitudes.
In the formation of light scenes, it was necessary to take into account that at equatorial latitudes, the sunlight is very intense. Therefore, daylight and evening artificial lighting in this case significantly contrast with each other so that during the day the artificial light and shadows are well read.
For this, we used light sources with a very large delta brightness: in the evening, their brightness is 1% of the daylight.
Palm leaves and gabbions with shells allowed to create a beautiful pattern of shadows. Working with stone facades, we balanced the RGB shades of light and highlighted with soft coral and warm white shades.
A special element of the interior is the installation of recycled rubber on the ceiling of the restaurant, symbolizing coral reefs whose existence is threatened by the environmental situation. We have implemented a sophisticated lighting system through these “corals” using lights with three types of optics.
Some lamps create delicate shadows at certain angles, the second - light accents on the tables, others give a common connecting light.
