Entry Description

An interdisciplinary team of experts for working environments developed a concept for the new Arup office in Frankfurt am Main that is oriented to the employees and their well-being. Flexibility and a relaxed working atmosphere increase comfort and thus also have a positive influence on productivity.

The interior concept applies to all three Arup offices in Germany and underlines the uniform corporate identity. It materializes the idea of our company's interdisciplinary services by visualizing individual disciplines and their links.

The selection of luminaires focuses on function, energy efficiency and user comfort. In contrast to conventional office lighting, large-format, acoustically effective luminous surfaces are used which allow lighting suitable for offices and at the same time optimize room acoustics. The surfaces are backlit with dimmable LEDs with optimal colour rendering, glare- and flicker-free light.

The basic lighting is supplemented by task lighting at each desk that meet the individual lighting requirements of the employees.

The lighting design for the Frankfurt office follows the principles of the Standard of the International WELL Building Institute.
