Being engaged in the lighting design industry for many years, Yenchih Wang has rich experiences, unique international perspectives, and design methods. He founded GD-Lighting Design in Hong Kong in 2004, a comprehensive lighting design company engaged in indoor and outdoor lighting design and consulting services, and set up branches in Shenzhen, Ningbo, Beijing, and Qingdao.
Under his leadership, the team has completed lots of well-known projects, such as SHENZHEN MOCAPE, Shekou Sea World Culture and Arts Center, Nanjing International Convention Center of the Second Youth Olympic Games, CHAO Hotel, Beijing Tongying Center InterContinental Hotel, Poly Yuzhu Office Sales Center, etc.
Yenchih Wang has been invited as the Distinguished Consultant of Urban Lighting Planning & Design Research Centre, China Academy Urban Planning & Design, Media Architecture Institute China (MAIC) Committee Member, Indoor Lighting Professional Committee of the China Illuminating Engineering Society (CIES), Editorial Board Member of Professional Lighting Design Magazine, Visiting professor of School of art, Southwest Forestry University. Besides, he was a winner of The 11th China International Interior Design Biennale Gold Award, The 7th Best 100, Chinese Designer in 2016 by China Building Decoration Association (CBDA).
With the brief of creating “valuable lighting”, Mr. Yenchih Wang has devoted himself to public buildings’ lighting design. He hopes that design can shorten the distance between people and people, people and architecture because he believes that the purpose of design is to make people’s life better.
