Entry Description

To design a space for one of your best clients is often a challenge of design aesthetic, multiple opinions from talented designers, and the fact that they are now spending their own money to achieve what they normally practice and preach to their clients. The art of this role is to act as a moderator and a shrink, while recognizing our task to make sure the lighting design is appropriate, space enhancing and affordable.

The first act of the show is the entrance experience from the elevator lobby into the reception area. A reflective membrane ceiling was employed. LED spot lights were integrated into the voids between the ceiling panels and the polished concrete floor was illuminated and reflected in the ceiling. Enclosed offices are illuminated with wall mounted indirect light fixtures providing a contrasting environment to the open plan spaces. The hub or open collaboration space employed a simple abstract grid system creating a unique feature in the middle of the office space.
