Electric Aura Projects was proud to have provided lighting design and direction for the Invictus Games 2017 Opening and Closing Ceremonies in Toronto. Partners Robert Sondergaard and Jason McKinnon worked closely to create the dynamic lighting for live and television audience.

The Opening Ceremony was a live two-hour event to welcome and honour competitors and their families from 17 competing nations, and featured performances by Canadian superstars Sarah McLachlan, Alessia Cara and The Tenors.

The Closing Ceremony was spectacular event with a full billing of international rock & pop musical heavyweights. From Bruce Springsteen to Kelly Clarkson, Bryan Adams, Bachman & Turner and Francophone pop sensation Coeur de Pirate, this epic event was a rounded off by appearance from the patron of the Games, Prince Harry.

With just 2 days to load in much of the lighting was pre-programmed in WYSIWYG to maximize rehearsal time in the venue.
